Highroad for Oz

ALBERT was a true blue Aussie bus, always with a worldly aura.

There were radio and tv interviews and publicity excursions into the city where folks at bus-stops gasped then grinned as ALBERT approached with destination "London" up front.

The great hope was to find a sponsor to help with the cost of shipping the bus from Western Australia to India, but this was not to be.

No problem! With the dream now alive and despite the first stop in George Street ALBERT made it all the way to London on his own steam.

Thereon, it was love of the world, fun of the trips and meeting new people that kept the bus going for 14 more overland adventures.

Today's dream is to restore the bus, complete the 16th trip and to bring ALBERT back home to Australia.
